A Safety Standards Certificate confirms that a vehicle met Ontario's minimum safety standards when it was inspected. It does not guarantee the vehicle's future condition.

- Keys for all locks and wheel-lock key, if applicable
- Enough fuel or charge for inspection and road testing
- Known warning-light or recent repair information
